A case study in reliable, secure network infrastructure supporting Sunday Worship.
We have assisted Moultonboro United Methodist Church (Moultonboro UMC) in enhancing its IT infrastructure to meet both current and long-term needs. When we initially took over their IT, they had two Ubiquiti 802.11ac access points and a Netgear wireless router that frequently required power cycling. After collaborating with the staff and volunteers, we developed a long-term plan aimed at reducing expenses while providing a more volunteer-friendly solution.
During a three-year plan, we collaborated with Moultonboro UMC to implement a new system that utilizes the WiFi 6 standard along with three strategically placed Ethernet switches. This core infrastructure enabled them to adopt a new phone system that integrates with their video surveillance system.
By making these changes and switching their internet service provider, Moultonboro UMC is achieving $1,140 in annual savings.
Shane has been instrumental in enabling our church to broadcast live to those who are unable to attend in-person worship (as well as maintaining recordings of the services). He has been our go-to for all things communication, audio/visual and technololgy focused. Shane thinks outside the box. When we had issues with our phone system, he set up a more efficient one for the office, with better features. He suggested and updated the internet provider for a faster speeds and less expensive monthly cost saving MUMC money.
Shane researched and identified a new secure CMS for administrative data, calendar, tracking for donation reporting and year end reporting. He is currently building a new church website which looks amazing and is so much more user friendly and robust than the last version.
